Water-Wise Landscape Awards Program

The Water-Wise Landscape Awards program is designed to recognize attractive, water conserving landscapes for homes and businesses. The program recognizes examples of outstanding Florida-Friendly, water-wise landscaping within the community. Applications for 2017 are due September 1st.

Step 1: Complete ApplicationYou must open the application in Internet Explorer to activate the Send via Email function key.  Click here for application. 

Step 2: Onsite Evaluation - If your landscape meets the basic criteria for the awards based on your application, a UF/IFAS Water Conservation Team member will contact you to schedule an on-site evaluation of your landscape and irrigation. Landscapes will be judged for awards September 8th, 2017 during regular business hours. During the evaluation, judges will need access to all areas of the landscape as well as the irrigation system controller, if applicable. Pets must be secured during this process. 

Step 3: Awards - One home and one business will receive an award. Winners will be given a decorative stepping stone and are asked to appear in front of the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners to accept their award.
