The Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program is designed to educate homeowners and other community members about the techniques and benefits of Florida-friendly landscaping with the help of 9 key principles.

Signup for "Reducing Runoff:
Rain Barrel Workshop"
A hands-on class offered every month. Participants learn about water conservation, capturing rainwater and other FYN principles. This workshop includes assembly of a rain barrel from a kit that you take home and use to capture rainfall and reduce runoff.
Minimum workshop size is required; workshop sizes are limited.

Please note that Manatee County Cooperative Extension does not sell rain barrels. Rain barrels are made available only to individuals who attend educational workshops. Retail barrel suppliers can be found by looking under the listings for "Barrels & Drums" in your local yellow pages.
