Dennis and Kathy Puckett's Florida-Friendly Yard
Master Gardeners, Dennis & Kathy Puckett have a wonderful Florida-Friendly property located on a beautiful section of Mill Creek Their landscape exists primarily on rainfall and is supplemented as needed using a hose. The approxmiately 2/3 acre property contains many wonderful examples of the FYN principle, "Right Plant, Right Place. The large backyard slopes gently towards Mill Creek and has a pool under the canopy of large shade oaks, and a dock on the waterfront. The list of wildlife visiting their property is quite extensive and includes bats that live under a piling cap out at the end of the dock. The Puckett's yard received the Golden Oak recognition.
