Lawrence Bearse's Florida Friendly Yard
Master Gardener, Lawrence H. Bearse Jr. is the "exception to the rule" in his neighborhood ... the only Florida-Friendly property in his development that I saw during our yard visit. His Florida-Friendly Yard exists primarily on rainfall, is full of colorful butterfly loving plants and has a buffer of emergent aquatic vegetation to help protect the waterfront. Larry's yard is a model for the FYN program and his community. He received the Golden Oak recognition, our highest level. Congratulations!!
