Who must have this license?

Commercial Contractors who apply pesticides to their customers' properties.

There are 4 different categories within this certification: General Household Pest (GHP), Lawn & Ornamental (L&O), Termite, and Fumigation.

What does this license allow me to do?
Licensee in the Lawn and Ornamental Category is authorized to:
  • Apply herbicides, fungicides or insecticides to lawns and ornamentals, including restricted-use pesticides.

Educational/experience requirements?
This certification is only available to those with documentation of 3 years experience working directly "under" someone with the same category of this certification.

Unlimited number of ID Card Holders under direct supervision of Pest Control Operator.

License renewal?

This license is valid for one year, renewed annually either by testing or with 2 CORE Continuing Education Units plus 2 Continuing Education Units per category. These CEUs are available through Extension Services and professional organizations.
